How to remove unwanted hair with waxing

Waxing Treatments Glasgow

Waxing is one of the most popular treatments carried out today within the beauty industry.  It is in very high demand and offered by beauty therapists in either a salon environment or by mobile therapists.

Waxing is a temporary method of hair removal designed to remove any unwanted hair on the body or facial areas.  For many people, the appearance of unwanted body or facial hair may be a nuisance or even embarrassing!

Strip waxing (warm waxing) treatments clear this unwanted hair quickly and efficiently.  By applying a thin layer of wax with a waxing spatula which should be held at a 90° angle over the area to be treated.  A paper or cotton strip is placed over the wax and pressed firmly adhering the strip to the wax.  The strip is then quickly pulled away against the direction of the hair growth as parallel to the skin as possible.  The correct application and removal techniques will ensure the hair is removed from the root and avoid trauma to the skin i.e. bruising, breaking the hair, lifting the skin etc.

The hair will not grow back for approximately 4-6 weeks (depending on hair growth cycle). It is imperative that therapists offering waxing services understand health and safety , hygiene and aftercare advice to offer their clients.
